ISLAMABAD Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that in order to make air travel safer, it is necessary to expedite the reform process in civil aviation, PIA, relevant agencies and factors related to air travel.  According to details, a high level meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister regarding the PIA passenger plane crash in which Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Information Minister Shibli Faraz, Special Assistant for Information Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa, Special Assistant Dr. Shahbaz Gul, Secretary Aviation Division Hassan Nasir Jami, Chief Executive PIA Air Marshal Arshad Mahmood Malik and other senior officers were present. During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan was given a detailed briefing on the investigation into the plane crash was consider the services of domestic and foreign experts to ensure a transparent and impartial inquiry into the crash and the progress made so far. Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the loss of human lives in the plane crash, Khan said that the accident on the occasion of Eid was a great tragedy for the nation. Expressing heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved families, he said that grief In this hour of mourning, they share the grief of the bereaved families. There is no substitute for human life. However, the government assures the victims that all the demands of justice will be met in this tragic incident. No effort should be spared to bring to light the transparent and impartial inquiry into the accident and the facts surrounding the incident.



The Prime Minister said that all the facts and details revealed in the inquiry report would be fully made known to the people.
